Laurel Academy is not just a private school. It's a place kids can feel safe to make mistakes, learn new things, and to grow into their best self. We strive to connect with our children and help them develop meaningful connections with their families, teachers, peers, and community.

By providing a private school with contiguous education from Kindergarten through 12th grade, our students have the opportunity to thrive in a stable learning environment until they graduate from high school.

Elementary School Program

Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade focus on building a strong foundation of learning on building blocks of reading, writing, mathematics, literature, and social studies. Most importantly, they learn how to learn.

Middle School Program

Middle school students are ready to apply all the facts and knowledge they've gained! This is where we focus on asking the right questions - mainly "how, what and why." Application of logic and sound reasoning develop quickly in these students, preparing them for the deeper applications of knowledge in high school.

High School Program

Our high school program is all about diving deeper - exploring the big questions like, "What does it mean?" We help our older students prepare for their future role in the community. They develop skills on what to do with their knowledge, how to ask the right questions, communicating effectively with others, and creative problem-solving.

Meet Laurel Academy's Founder

Kristine Ayers-Cline

Kristine Ayers-Cline began her career helping adults with disabilities to navigate their lives and regain independence. In this role, she noticed that many of her clients struggled as children to get the support and education they needed to be independent, thriving adults.

After many years of working with adult clients, Kristine realized the best way to help people with developmental or physical disabilities was to support them as children. So, she began a new career to work with children who need a little bit extra in order to gain the skills they need to be happy, productive and independent adults.
